Alex Kat is a photographer based in Athens, Greece. Her work moves between portraiture, performance, cinema, and long-term personal projects, shaped by an ongoing interest in identity, transformation, presence, and visual storytelling.

Across commissioned and independent work, she has developed a photographic language marked by intimacy, atmosphere, and emotional precision. She has collaborated with major cultural institutions including the Greek National Theater, Greek National Opera, Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, Neuköllner Oper Berlin, and the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, as well as with directors and theater makers such as Frank Castorf, Timofey Kulyabin, and Elli Papakonstantinou.

Alongside her commissions, she develops long-term photographic projects exploring gender, identity, performativity, and the shifting line between appearance and inner life. Her photographs have been published in Greece and internationally.
