Queer Athens
For the past eight years, Queer Athens has been an ongoing personal project born out of proximity, friendship, and shared life with my queer friends in Athens. It began as a way to capture fleeting moments of my friends performing, experimenting, and simply existing in the city.
The project grows from within a queer milieu shaped not only by pop culture, but by local traditions, cinematic language, art, and an artful sense of the uncanny. The looks I photograph are avant-garde and eccentric, emerging through play, transformation, and experimentation rather than spectacle.
I see queerness here as a living, original artistic practice and a deep existential response.
